Energy Transmission in the Network

EnBW Transportnetze AG with its 380/220 kV extra-high voltage system ensures efficient and uninterrupted connections between energy suppliers, distribution networks, and neighbouring transmission networks at home and abroad. The deregulated power market and the extension of renewable energies, however, mean that new concepts for smooth operation of the networks are required. EnBW Transportnetze AG is facing this challenge with a forward-looking network concept and one of the most modern network management systems in the world.

In international comparison, German supply networks are seen as safer than most. To maintain this reliability of supply and to keep costs at a minimum, we work steadily to increase the efficiency of the networks, to optimise them step by step, and to develop maintenance concepts for the long term.
