Energy generation
in the EnBW Group
We believe in a balanced energy mix.
With an installed electrical output of around 15,000 megawatts, EnBW is one of the most important energy providers in Germany, whereby we rely on a balanced energy mix comprising conventional power plants, nuclear power and renewable energies.
Balanced generation mix and high supply quality
Three things are particularly important to us: maintaining efficient and environmentally friendly generation on the one hand and high supply security for our customers on the other. We achieve this through simultaneous use of nuclear energy, coal, gas, oil and renewable energy sources. 65 per cent of our own electricity generation is CO2-free. We thus make a significant contribution to climate protection.
Expansion of renewable energies and increasing energy efficiency
Our generation structure must also meet the diverse social, economic, ecological and commercial demands of the future, whereby we are focussing on the economically sensible development of renewable energies and increasing energy efficiency. By investing billions of euros, EnBW will continue to secure supplies in Baden-Württemberg during the coming years and further consolidate its market position as an important energy provider.
