Our projects and locations
Our traditional commitment to hydropower and our future-oriented expansion of wind power, photovoltaic and bioenergy consistently increase our proportion in the renewable energy.
Wind power plays an essential role in the energy generation of the future– on land and on the high seas. With four big offshore wind farms in the North Sea and the Baltic Sea we are currently realising the most important wind power project in Germany.
Energy in abundance: The sun is the biggest energy source on earth. EnBW has been active in the area of solar energy for many years and promotes its development. In Ulm-Eggingen, we operate one of the biggest solar farms in Baden-Württemberg.
Biomass utilizes nature’s renewable raw materials to obtain electricity and heat. EnBW develops and operates biomass plants and promotes the processing of biogas to natural gas quality.
Worldwide, Hydropower is currently the most important source of electricity generated from renewable energy. EnBW has been focusing on this energy generation for a long time. Rheinfelden is one of Germany’s biggest new development projects in the area of renewable energy.
