+++01 July 2010: EnBW starts up a 6.5 MW solar farm in Ulm-Eggingen +++
In Ulm-Eggingen, EnBW Erneuerbare Energien GmbH has commissioned one of the biggest solar farms in Baden Wuerrtemberg. The solar farm with an annual output of 6.5 megawatts will generate approx. 6.9 million kilowatt hours of electricity. This will supply 2000 households and save 3990 tonnes of CO2. EnBW has increased and thus almost trippled its installed capacity to around ten MW with the solar farm.

By 2020, the EnBW wants to increase its proportion of renewable energy by about 20 percent and invest over 3 billion euros in its expansion. With this we will double in comparison to today their proportion in our generation mix.
