The trading activities of ETG
Supply and demand dictate the market and thus the price of energy products. The Group's access to the wholesale markets for the commodities electricity, gas, CO2 and fuels is combined via ETG. It plays a major role in securing the Group's operating profits in the energy sector.
There are now a number of stock exchanges such as, for example the important European electricity exchange EEX in Leipzig. ETG is not only active here but also at other international exchanges, such as the Powernext in Paris, the APX in Amsterdam or the OMEL in Madrid.
We also trade oil, oil products and emission certificates at the stock exchanges of the International Commodity Exchange (ICE) and European Climate Exchange (ECX) located in London.
In addition to the pure stock exchange activities, ETG also trades with around 170 national and international counterparts. Intensive OTC-trading also takes place via established broker platforms by telephone or on online-chat platforms.
The EnBW Trading GmbH is active on the international stock exchange centres.
