EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG: EnBW's CEO Villis decides not to renew his contract
The CEO of EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG, Hans-Peter Villis, today notified the chairman of EnBW's Supervisory Board, Dr. Claus Dieter Hoffmann, that he will not be looking to be reappointed as the company's CEO after his service agreement expires at the end of September 2012. Mr. Villis explained he no longer felt he had the undivided trust of the Supervisory Board.
The chairman of the Supervisory Board, Dr. Hoffmann, expressed his personal understanding for this action and said that the Supervisory Board respected Mr. Villis' decision.
Notwithstanding this announcement, there is mutual agreement that Mr. Villis will continue to perform his tasks as CEO.
