CFO leaves EnBW of his own volition
Karlsruhe. The CFO of EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG, Dr. Christian Holzherr (44), is leaving the company of his own volition as of April 30, 2008 after eight years. Chairman of the Supervisory Board Dr. Claus Dieter Hoffmann: “We would like to thank Dr. Christian Holzherr for the great commitment he has shown during his eight years with the company, the last three of which in his capacity as CFO. He made a significant contribution to the development of the company. We wish him all the best for the future.”
After several years at Robert Bosch GmbH and VIAG AG (now E.ON AG), Holzherr joined EnBW in 2000. His responsibilities included the integration of Neckarwerke Stuttgart AG in the EnBW group, building up and heading EnBW Regional AG as chairman of the management board and managing the “TopFit” drive to reorganise the group which resulted in a sustainable reduction in costs of more than €1 billion per year.
Hans-Peter Villis, CEO of EnBW:“In Dr. Holzherr, EnBW is losing an established manager who has rendered the company a great service.We do, of course, respect his decision."
For the time being, Villis will also assume responsibility for the finance portfolio.
