Karlsruhe. The Supervisory Board of EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG followed the recommendation of its personnel committee and appointed Dr. Rudolf Schulten (53) as member of EnBW’s Board of Management (CFO) today for a period of five years, effective January 1, 2009. Since the previous CFO, Dr. Christian Holzherr, left as of April 30, 2008, the CEO Hans-Peter Villis has been responsible for the finance portfolio.
Dr. Schulten, whose PhD is in economics, has previously held positions on the management boards of Bewag AG, Berlin (2002 to 2003) and GASAG AG (1998 to 2002). Since October 2003, he has been the CEO of MVV Energie AG.
The appointment of Dr. Schulten brings EnBW’s Board of Management back up to full strength. After Dr. h.c. Detlef Schmidt, formerly responsible for marketing and sales, retired as of June 30, 2008, EnBW’s Board of Management was reduced to five portfolios.
