We will achieve our goals with two different but interrelated operating models.
"Customer proximity" stands for customer orientation, new solutions and product innovations and comprises the sales business for electricity and gas and energy-related services for household and industrial customers. A Group-wide innovation management system and an innovation campus support the rapid development of products. Another important segment is business with municipal utilities and local authorities, which we will expand by offering participation models on a partnership basis.
"Engine room of the Energiewende"In the operation of infrastructure critical to the energy system – primarily in the area of renewable energies but also involving conventional energy generation and the grids – efficiency, safety, simplicity and flexibility play important roles. We rely here on operational excellence, a strict focus on efficiency and cost-orientation for the achievement of defined quality standards, as well as for standardisation. Partnerships formed in the area of technological development serve to minimise costs and risks. EnBW actively offers the opportunity to invest in grids and power plants, especially to local authorities.
In order to successfully implement our strategy, we have aligned ourselves more effectively and merged important business entities to simplify the structure of the Group. Under the concept “ONE EnBW”, we have created an organisation that focuses on the maxims of improving performance, establishing quick decision making paths and achieving the best possible levels of efficiency.
