Stuttgart. EnBW Vertriebs- und Servicegesellschaft mbHguarantees its electricity customers in the comfort tariff (basic supply) steady net prices for the next 18 months and thus until the 31 March 2008. As a whole the net prices of the EnBW –Comfort Tariff will be steady for 21 months.
With this decision, EnBW is consequential in continuing its price policy directed at tariff stability. EnBW had recently held its basic supply tariff steady for 18 months. With the now agreed price guarantee the basic supply tariff for EnBW customers has increased only once in more than three years.
EnBW is therewith considering the procurement costs which have clearly increased in this long period as well as the reduction of the network access charges.
Through the current long-term price guarantee the customers have a high price reliability and consequently planning security. Solely the value added tax increase by three percent beginning on the 1 January 2007 which was decided on by the policy makers will be passed on by EnBW to all customers.
