As the services division of Netze BW GmbH, we plan, design, build and operate critical infrastructure for our customers. We offer local authorities, municipal utilities, industrial customers and renewable energy project companies a comprehensive portfolio of products and services relating to electricity, gas, water, heating and telecommunications networks, as well as a wide range of protection products. With our concepts and solutions, we realize our customers' visions according to their needs – economically, sustainably and safely.
Network technology courses
Discover our wide range of training courses, specially tailored to network operators, service providers, and municipal utilities. Whether it's network expansion, electromobility, digitization, or broadband expansion - we'll get your employees ready for the future!
Our practice-oriented training courses cover the areas of electricity, gas, water, district heating, fiber optic technology, drones, soft skills, and technological expertise. We also offer master classes and a master's degree program in network technology and network operation.
A particular highlight of our program is the drone pilot qualification. This comprises five modules ranging from the basics of drone technology, legal framework conditions, and safety to company-specific qualifications, camera settings for professional drone photography, and practical application scenarios in the energy industry. Those who complete all modules receive an IHK certificate confirming their professional qualification as a drone pilot.
We also offer targeted training courses in the field of electricity that optimally prepare your teams for the challenges of grid operation. These include practical training courses such as switching operations in low/medium voltage, rescuing from masts and roofs, annual training for electricians, and, as a special highlight for career changers, training to become an electrician (IHK).

Target Grid planning
A stable and efficient distribution grid is essential for a successful energy transition. However, changes in heat supply (municipal heat planning), the integration of renewable energies, storage technologies, smart grids, and e-mobility are presenting the network with unprecedented challenges. We support you with our many years of experience in the future-proof expansion of your grid, thus creating the conditions for continued, largely uninterrupted supply operation in your grid.
For target grid planning, we first assess the current status of the existing infrastructure. This includes analyzing current grid data, load development, and feed-in, as well as calculating and simulating current utilization. Using a sociodemographic analysis and our own experience, we forecast the future demand of your grid and, based on this, develop several options that ensure the security of supply and reliability of your grid.

LoRaWAN®
LoRaWAN® is a wireless technology that enables data from a wide variety of devices to be transmitted in real time with low radiation and energy efficiency. This data can be integrated into workflows in a smart and fully automated manner using IoT. To do this, devices or machines are made internet-enabled via additional sensors and digitally mapped in an internet-connected application.
The areas of application are diverse and range from remotely readable consumption meters, such as water and heat meters, to tank level measurements and the monitoring of parking lots, exits, and buildings. The technology makes workflows more efficient and secure. In addition, the availability of data enables processes to be optimized and new services to be created. The Netze BW Services division operates the radio network with its own personnel and makes it available to the public as a registered public telecommunications network.

PegelMeter
More and more industrial plants and stationary hardware systems require mobile communications and an optimal connection for reliable communication, for example, when rolling out smart meter gateways. The PegelMeter can also be used to locate possible sources of interference during interference suppression operations. The PegelMeter can be used to ensure optimal mobile coverage and connectivity by providing information about mobile reception, providers, and optimal antennas.
For ease of use, there is a smartphone app with extensive functions, e.g., a measurement portal with export function. However, the PegelMeter can also be used without the app.

NeWa-App
Hazards and even assaults are now commonplace in many field service jobs and for people who work alone. With the NeWa app for all popular smartphones and smartwatches (iOS, watch OS, Android, WearOS), you can protect your field service employees by enabling them to send an emergency call to the control center in case of an emergency, which will then initiate individually predefined measures.
You can decide for yourself whether a direct alarm is triggered in an acute dangerous situation, such as an assault, or whether a time window alarm is activated in a potentially dangerous situation, which is only triggered after the time window has expired. In both cases, the emergency call is forwarded directly to our service and control center, which is available around the clock. The employee's location is only recorded when an alarm is triggered.
