Until now, project planners have had to use elaborate 2D maps to visualize and present the plans of construction projects that characterize the landscape. In the advanced stages of the project, static photomontages are then produced with considerable effort and they are unable to take many factors into account. On construction projects where space is a significant factor, it is difficult for those involved to assess the impact on the landscape.
And we want to change that – with REVisAR, the app for visualizing projects such as wind facilities or solar parks. Augmented reality adds dynamism to the project development process. That’s because the app produces realistic and fully animated images of projects such as wind turbines or solar parks with geographical accuracy. In addition, REVisAR displays the position of the sun at certain times of the day and thus shows the shadow cast by the turbines or the orientation of a nacelle and rotor blades.
