Luisa, what exactly do you do at EnBW mobility+?
Luisa: I work as a Business Analyst on the EnBW mobility+ app. My job is to translate ideas from product management into clear requirements for our developers. I work closely with architects, UX designers, our product owner, and external partners. Together, we make sure that an idea becomes a functional feature.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
Luisa: What I love most is that we’re working on a product that’s part of people’s everyday lives. When we decide to develop a new feature, I’m directly involved in shaping it – and later, I get to see how people around me, even friends, actually use it.
What does “Bock auf E-Mobilität” (“enthusiasm for e-mobility”) mean to you?
Luisa: For me, it means truly believing in e-mobility – and working every day to make it even better.
What exactly can the EnBW mobility+ app do?
Luisa: The EnBW mobility+ app is the leading charging app for electric vehicles in Germany. In addition to its core charging function, it helps users find charging stations using various filters, shows availability and pricing, includes a route planner – and even provides information about nearby amenities like toilets, playgrounds, or bakeries. It’s an all-round service for e-mobility – simple, transparent, and reliable.
Can you share an example of how an app idea became reality?
Luisa: One great example was the location images project. We wanted users to see what a charging site actually looks like. The path there was complex – from legal questions to technical solutions to the visual display in the app. Today, the images are live, and they’ve made charging much more convenient.
Is there a feature you’re particularly proud of?
Luisa: Definitely the nearby information feature! I helped integrate data like “Is there a toilet or supermarket nearby?” into the app as a filter option. It was my favorite project.
What does your typical workday look like?
Luisa: Agile and varied. We start with a daily stand-up, followed by coordination meetings, concept work, research, testing, and analysis. No two days are the same.
How do you manage to coordinate so many people?
Luisa: Luckily, a lot happens virtually nowadays – but good communication remains key. We collect requirements, align different interests, and find compromises – always with the goal of developing the best solution for our users.
What motivates you every day?
Luisa: My colleagues, our shared vision, and the feeling that we’re really making a difference. We’re working on something with a future – and that gives me energy.
What does the mobility transition mean to you personally?
Luisa: It’s deeply important to me. When I look at the world today – and at my children – I want to be part of making things better. In app development, it’s essential to keep a constant eye on both the user and the market – to make the right decisions and ideally stay one step ahead.
What’s your advice for people who want to shape the future of mobility or innovation at EnBW?
Luisa: Just do it! Be brave – it’s worth it.
How did you come to EnBW?
Luisa: I started here over ten years ago with a dual study program. Even back then, I knew that EnBW is a reliable employer that grows with you.
Which roles have you held at EnBW so far?
Luisa: I began in purchasing controlling. After several positions within procurement and a final step in process and demand management, I moved to EnBW mobility+ – into the digital world.
What makes EnBW special to you?
Luisa: It’s the people. Whether during my training or now as a mother – EnBW truly enables work–life balance. Every day, I experience how much trust, flexibility, and support are possible when family and career go hand in hand.
And your job in three words?
Luisa: Varied. Innovative. Communicative.
