The onboarding process is tailored to your experience and your starting position. Here, three of our employees discuss their first days at EnBW.
Trainee: My start at EnBW
During onboarding, I not only met the other trainees, but also had the chance to visit numerous areas and locations across the company. For example, we had a workshop on the topic of strategy. Plus, we also gained insights into IT and EnBW’s digital agenda. Another thing that was super interesting for me was the chance to talk with former trainees. Taken together, all these things made me really excited to work at the company – and after a few difficult months in which I had to choose a career path, it was a nice change of pace.Experienced professional: My first weeks at EnBW
My onboarding was slightly unusual, because I had already worked for EnBW for a year on a freelance basis. For that reason, I already knew the team and my workplace, and I already had access to the building. Once it was decided that I would switch to EnBW full time, our whole team celebrated! For the official onboarding, my team lead and I created a list with everything we wanted to tackle together and what would help me truly feel at home here. This meant we had a clear plan, and I had a point of contact who I could speak to at any time if anything was unclear.Apprentice: My first day at EnBW
On the first day, as soon as we got a warm welcome from our instructors, our nervousness vanished. It was great that we had plenty of time to get to know the other beginners and for team building. Now, we’ve grown close as a group, and we can rely on one another for support. In the final “Power Knowledge Session,” you truly become a member of the EnBW family. In this phase, you will learn about the company’s strategy and meet people from other departments. This allows you to expand your network.
