What we offer
Our employees achieve above-average success through their motivated work. We want to reward this commitment and specifically offer them individual benefits that are well above average. We have a wide range of offers, such as flexible working hours, childcare or nursing services, which we make available to employees wherever possible, i.e. always depending on location, workplace and activity. For this we have held the #berufundfamilie certificate since 2007.
Benefits and offers
Attractive salary
Employees receive capital-forming benefits, holiday pay, Christmas bonuses and an additional child allowance in addition to their monthly remuneration.
Profit sharing and energy price reduction
Our employees benefit from the success of the company and receive a profit-sharing bonus depending on the economic result of the EnBW Group. In addition, there is an energy price reduction, with which they receive an attractive subsidy on our electricity tariffs.
Company pension scheme
We offer our employees an attractive company pension scheme in the form of a pension module system as a supplement to the statutory pension insurance and private provision.
Accident / life insurance
Our employees are not only insured against occupational accidents, but also against private accidents around the clock worldwide. They also have the option of deferred compensation through a direct insurance or pension fund with attractive special conditions.
Health management
The health of our employees is very important to us. Therefore, we offer a whole range of health and prevention measures. Especially at our larger locations, these range from health days and nutritional advice to courses such as stress management, back health, Nordic walking, autogenic training, progressive muscle relaxation and yoga. In addition, there is the possibility of annual check-ups and preventive medical check-ups as well as free vaccinations.
Company restaurants
At a total of 14 locations, EnBW's own company restaurants offer our employees a varied and healthy range of food - at significantly reduced prices. With creativity and passion, colleagues in the kitchen and in service ensure that the best quality is brought to the table every day. At smaller locations where there is no company restaurant nearby, employees receive a lunch allowance.
Workplace equipment
Our inspiring, team-oriented working environment invites you to work creatively with the latest methods and tools. For example, our employees are provided with mobile devices for professional use depending on their jobs and location.
Probationary period
At EnBW, we do not have a contractual probationary period. In the first six months, a notice period of 6 weeks to the end of the month applies in accordance with the collective agreement. After the first six months, the German Dismissal Protection Act (Kündigungsschutzgesetz) applies. The current legal regulations on protection against dismissal can be found on the website of the Federal Ministry of Justice.
Work and private life
Flexible, daily working hours play a major role in the compatibility of work and private life for our employees. For this reason, we enable employees, depending on their professional field and individual tasks, to arrange their working hours in consultation with their supervisor from Monday to Friday between 6.00 a.m. and 7.00 p.m. or 8.00 p.m. every day. The weekly working time is predominantly 36 hours.
Trust-based working hours
We live the flexible working hours on our own responsibility as so-called trust-based working hours. It is a component and expression of EnBW's corporate culture based on mutual trust. Trust-based working hours are possible depending on the location and job.
Home office
Depending on their individual activities and location, our employees have the opportunity to work from their home office in coordination with their manager. In addition, there is the option of mobile working in the sense of working from any location thanks to mobile terminals.
EnBW children's office
If childcare or school lessons are cancelled at short notice, employees can simply bring their children to the office. So-called "children's offices" are set up there. In these offices, there are fully equipped PC workstations and there are play facilities for the children. This offer is currently available at our locations in Karlsruhe, Stuttgart, Esslingen, Biberach, Tuttlingen and Neckarwestheim.
Advice & childcare
From parental leave to childcare: We provide regularly updated information for our employees and support them in organisational matters. We also provide advice on choosing the right childcare. And we provide support in emergency situations. Our emergency care service, for example, provides an uncomplicated alternative and is always available for advice, also with regard to holiday offers or childcare places.
In addition, EnBW's day-care centres in Stuttgart (EnBW City) and Karlsruhe provide childcare for the 0-6 year-old children of its employees. In Biberach, there are childcare facilities for children aged 0-3 years. The allocation of kindergarten places depends on the available capacities and is based on social criteria.
Holiday homes
Recreation is important for our employees and that is why we offer them the possibility to book holiday homes in the Black Forest, Allgäu or at Lake Constance at reduced rates for family and friends. Employees can book the houses using the booking system.
Family service for family members in need of care
The need for care is not only an issue for older people. Anyone can suddenly be affected. Together with our cooperation partner, we offer competent and comprehensive advice on all aspects of nursing care. The service starts with the question of the various care options and extends to concrete assistance in negotiations with the health insurance company.
