EnBW: Decision of the city of Düsseldorf is indication of confidence and voucher of a good partnership

EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG rates the decision of the council of the state capital Düsseldorf to sell 25,05 percent of the stadtwerk Düsseldorf (Düsseldorf municipal utilities) to EnBW as an indication of confidence and as an expressed wish to want to also continue in future, effectually and in partnership, the so far from the town, the municipal utilities and EnBW conjointly used energy efficient route. „The wish for consolidation of the existing business coorperation expressed with this decision is shared on the part of EnBW. EnBW will also be in future a reliable partner of the city and the municipal utilities and is pleased about the possibility of now being able to jointly further strengthen the existing strategic partnership“, said Dr. h.c. Detlef Schmidt, management board member of EnBW and supervisory board of Stadtwerke Düsseldorf.

Against the background of the municipal decision EnBW once again affirms that it naturally and unvaried sticks by all contractual agreements with the state capital Düsseldorf and the municipal utilities. EnBW will also in future respect and heed the municipal responsibility of the city for the municipal utilities. The municipal utilities are furthermore an important cornerstone within the municipal utilities strategy of EnBW. „The future constellation is good for the clients and good for the employees of the municipal utilities and it stengthens the security of supply in the city of Düsseldorf “, said Schmidt. The high satisfaction of over 5 million energy customers with EnBW and numerous succesful regional, national and international partnerships of EnBW with other energy companies is proof of the high energy efficient competence and reliability of EnBW. EnBW wants to also bring in this competence and reliability for other organic growth of the municipal utilities in Düsseldorf.
