Karlsruhe. Following this year's Annual General Meeting of EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG, the newly elected Supervisory Board met for their inaugural meeting. As part of the Annual General Meeting beforehand, the shareholders had confirmed their representatives in accordance with the proposals submitted in advance and published in the invitation to the Annual General Meeting.

The new Chairman of the highest supervisory body of EnBW is Lutz Feldmann (59). The business consultant from Bochum was unanimously elected by the members of the Supervisory Board. Mr. Feldmann has already been a Member of the Supervisory Board of EnBW since April 2015. Dietrich Herd, Chairman of the central works council of EnBW , was also unanimously elected to the position of Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board. Mr. Herd has been a Member of the Supervisory Board since August 2005.

The previous long-standing Chairman of the Supervisory Board Dr. Claus Dieter Hoffmann stepped down from his post at today's Annual General Meeting for reasons of age and retired from the Supervisory Board of EnBW. EnBW has benefited significantly over the past few years from his experience. Dr. Hoffmann became a Member of the Supervisory Board of EnBW in 2003 and was elected to the position of Chairman of the Supervisory Board in April 2006.

In accordance with Article 8 (1) of the Articles of Association, the company's Supervisory Board is made up of 20 members consisting of ten members to be elected by the Annual General Meeting and ten by the employees pursuant to sections 96 (1), 101 (1) of the AktG, in conjunction with section 7 (1) sentence 1 item 3 of the German Codetermination Act (MitbestG).
