Thomas Kusterer to be EnBW’s new CFO
Karlsruhe. At its meeting today, the Supervisory Board of EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG appointed Thomas Kusterer Chief Financial Officer (CFO) effective April,1,2011 for a periode of three years.
Thomas Kusterer (42) has been the CFO of EDF Energy, London, since April 2009. Since its 2009 takeover of British Energy with revenue of some € 11 billion and just under 20,000 employees, EDF Energy has been one of the largest energy companies in the UK.
Prior to his work as CFO at EDF Energy, Thomas Kusterer was, among other things, EnBW’s Senior Vice President, Finance, from March 2008 to March 2009. In this function he managed the entire group’s finances. Between October 2006 and February 2008, he was the Senior Vice President responsible for the area of accounting and taxes within the EnBW group. Before joining EnBW, Thomas Kusterer worked for an international audit firm. He holds a degree in business and qualifications as auditor, tax consultant and CPA.
The office of EnBW’s CFO has been vacant since Dr. Rudolf Schulten left for health reasons in March 2010.
