In order to optimally shape the energy world, we need employees and managers who are ideally prepared for current and future challenges. For this purpose, different learning formats (learning, experimentation and thinking rooms) are all available at EnBW for the promotion and development of personnel potential. In this way, employees are enabled to develop their strengths and talents individually, this in order to make real the EnBW Strategy 2020 "Energiewende. To make. certain.“ (Make the Energy Revolution a Certainty).
Further information regarding further education and development can be found here (in German).
Leading the way in leadership development is the management team, which works towards strategic and leadership challenges in a VUCA environment (increasing digitization, development towards Industrie 4.0, etc.). Leadership feedback, which enables executives to obtain feedback from supervisors, colleagues, and directly managed employees, helps identify existing development needs and the creation of appropriate development measures at an individual level.
We are convinced that regular feedback helps our employees as well as our entire organization to continuously improve the working culture of cooperation, processes and procedures and to adapt all these to changed conditions. Group-wide employee surveys are held at regular intervals. Employees have the opportunity to comment on various aspects of their work.
The Employee Commitment Index (MCI) is used as a key performance indicator for the EnBW target group. The MCI is collected as part of the employee survey and is based on standardized questions that address the degree of attachment of employees to their company: Satisfaction with the employment relationship, attractiveness of the employer, identification with the company, motivational climate, competitiveness and future viability. The MCI is collected every two to three years for management-relevant companies (without Independent Transmission Operators (ITOs)) as part of a full survey. In-between these times, a representative sample survey is carried out.
