EnBW Acquires Shares In Three Regional Energy Companies From Thüga
Karlsruhe. EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG acquires from Thüga AG shares in the companies Erdgas Südwest GmbH (ESW), Energie Sachsen Ost GmbH (ENSO) and Gasversorgung Sachsen Ost Wärmeservice GmbH Co. KG (GSWK). With the acquisition of shares EnBW’s collaterally held shares increases in ESW by 28 percent to 79 percent , in ENSO by 14,5 percent to 64,8 percent and in GSWK by 76,5 percent to 100 percent . The shares in ESW are held by EnBW Gas GmbH and the shares in ENSO and GSWK by the EnBW subsidiary GESO. The acquisition of shares is still under reservation of the respective boards of EnBW and Thüga. The purchase price was tacitly agreed upon.
With the increase of its shares EnBW is strengthening its position in the markets of Baden Württemberg and East Saxony which are of importance to it and therewith consistently continuing its end customer oriented growth strategy. Furthermore, owing to the simplification of the participation structure of the three companies synergy and development potentials also present themselves.
