Karlsruhe/Madrid. EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG will present topics connected to power plant construction and energy efficiency at the ‘Power-Gen Europe’ – Europe’s largest trade fair for the energy industry. From 26 – 28 June 2007, EnBW will demonstrate models of the innovative wave power plant and the planned compressed air energy storage plant at its stand in Madrid. In addition, experts from the EnBW project for constructing a new power plant will provide information about the new, highly efficient coal-fired power plant in Karlsruhe Rheinhafen. In doing so, EnBW is once again presenting itself as one of the leading energy companies in Europe with the most innovative generation technology.
Moreover, visitors to the trade fair stand will have the opportunity to take a virtual tour of the EnBW EnergyPark in Second Life at an interactive terminal. The trade fair will be accompanied by a highly acclaimed congress, which will focus on the technical and strategic challenges faced by the energy industry. EnBW will also be represented at this congress in the form of a talk given by experts on the topic ‘Forward-Looking Use of a New Generation of Instrumentation and Control in Coal-Fired Power Plants'.
The ‘Power-Gen Europe’ is an annual event that is held on a rotational basis all over Europe. Around 10,000 trade visitors and 450 exhibitors from about 100 countries are expected to go to Madrid. Thanks to the parallel events ‘Powergrid Europe’ and ‘Renewable Energy Europe’, the whole spectrum of conventional and renewable electricity generation, as well as the transportation of electricity, will be covered by this event.
