Karlsruhe. Unit 1 of the Philippsburg nuclear power plant (KKP 1) has been put back on the grid on Thursday evening, the 12th of June 2008. The operating company, EnBW Kernkraft GmbH, shut down the unit last Friday after a drop in pressure in the containment dome in order to discover the cause and to resolve the problem. A comprehensive program to systematically search the cause of the problem was completed yesterday. The leak discovered in the course of this program has been repaired. EnBW had sent out information on this incident last Friday, the 6th of June 2008, as well as on 11th of June 2008.
