Reduction of EnBW's share in Hidrocantabrico to 35%

The EU commission has today granted the merger control approval for the shared management of Hidroelectrica DEL Cantabrico (Hidrocantabrico), the fourth-largest Spanish energy supply company, through EnBW, EDP and Cajastur via the holding company Adygesinval S.A. Based on a cooperation agreement between Energie Baden-Württemberg AG (EnBW), Electricidade de Portugal S.A. (EDP), Caja de Ahorros de Asturias (Cajastur), Caja de Seguros Reunidos, Compania de Seguros y Reaseguros (Caser), Hidrocantabrico will in future jointly be managed by EDP, EnBW and Cajastur/Caser via the holding company Adygesinval S.A. The respective shares in Adygesinval of EDP, EnBW and Cajastur/Caser will be 40%, 35% and 25%. The partners are planning to revoke the stock market listing of Hidrocantabrico via delisting, in order to obtain a joint share of 100%. This solution will lead to a reduction of EnBW's share in Hidrocantabrico to 35%.
