The aim of the regulations is to create transparency and to ensure that grid operations are designed and implemented in a non-discriminatory manner.
EnBW has already positioned itself in individual companies along the value chain in the course of the liberalisation of the energy market in 1998. Fair competition was one of our central concerns at an early stage with the division into the areas of generation, electricity trading, sales, services, distribution grids, transport grids, and Yello as a new nationwide energy provider.
In the run-up to and with the entry into force of the Energy Industry Act, we initiated a large number of activities to ensure that the company’s organisation complies with regulatory requirements. This also included the review – and, where necessary, adjustment – of our organisation and activities with respect to the specific unbundling requirements of the Energy Industry Act.
In our Unbundling Compliance Report as a report in accordance with Section 7a (5) EnWG, we would like to provide an overview of the measures we have taken towards unbundling and thus to promoting fair competition.
